Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who tested was tested positive for novel coronavirus a couple of days ago, stayed in the same five-star hotel as the South African cricket team, who were in India for the ODI series against Virat Kohli and Co that was later called off.
Reports are that she dined at the hotel and also attended to several guests in the lobby. Sources say that she was living there in the hotel when the South African cricket team was staying in the hotel for the ODI match which was then called off.
There is also information that Kanika was briefly seen attending a news channel’s annual conclave held at the same hotel. Hence, the hotel authorities are going to scan their CCTV footage and list the people who came in contact with the singer.
The South African cricket team was scheduled to play three ODI matches in India. The first ODI was canceled due to the downpour at the stadium in Dharmshala.
The Quinton de Kock lead team then came down to Lucknow to play the second ODI which was later called off due to the coronavirus scare. The Proteas team then went to Kolkatta and from there they went to Dubai before heading to South Africa. Later a mandatory quarantine was imposed upon all the players post their return to South Africa.
Netizens have criticized Kanika a lot for her irresponsible behavior to not quarantine herself when she returned from London and then attended several parties in Lucknow. The medical report which declared her positive is now being questioned by her family members.
