Kajol Avoided Watching Tanishaa Mukerji’s “Neal n Nikki” Released in 2005 Because Of Too Many Kissing Scenes

Tanishaa said that her sister Kajol didn't watch movie because of many kissing scenes while Tanisha was comfortable doing it with Uday Chopra.

Kajol has yet to watch Tanishaa Mukerji’s FILM “Neal n Nikki”, released in 2005. Kajol, who is the blood sister of Tanishaa, avoided watching her film because there are too many kissing scenes in the movie. In this film, Tanishaa shared the screen with actor Uday Chopra. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Tanishaa talked about how her sister hasn’t watched her movie even after 18 years of its release.

Tanishaa said that if Nikki had offered her today, she would have done it in a different way because we have more hold to our thought process when we become mature enough. She explained, saying, “If today Neil N Nikki came to me, I would have offered to play the character differently, because you are influencing young minds. At that time, I didn’t get involved in it enough.” She added, “”It was too much kissing on-screen. My sister (Kajol) has not watched the film till today. Even I tell my friend’s kids to watch it after growing up a little bit. That conservativeness exists in our country.”

She shed some light on her relation with actor Uday Chopra. She was comfortable playing Nikki’s character on screen with Uday as they both started dating each other during the shoot of the film, so she was indirectly doing those scenes with her then real life boyfriend. Tanishaa and Uday dated each other for two years, but things really didn’t work out between them and they broke up. But the actress said that they are still friends.

Yash Raj Films presents Neal n Nikki is about a guy who falls in love with a girl on his bachelor trip, and then he gets to know that she is the sister of his fiancée. Though the movie couldn’t do well at the domestic box office, it did a good job in the overseas market.
