After the huge box-office success of Gadar 2, the makers have now confirmed the 3 installment of the franchise. As per the latest reports, Bollywood actors Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel have been roped in for the Gadar 3 as Tara Singh and Sakina. However, reportedly the fans will have to wait for Gadar 3.
Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma revealed to Pinkvilla, that Gadar 3 is on the cards and that he will start working on the script of the film soon, he said “Yes, Tara Singh will be back, as we have locked in the basic idea of Gadar 3. I am presently shooting with Utkarsh and Nana Patekar for my next directorial journey and will start working on the Gadar 3 script very soon”.
A source also revealed that ever since the release of Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma and his team of writers have been brainstorming ideas for Gadar 3. And reportedly they have finally locked down the basic idea for the third installment. The source further revealed that much like the world of the franchise, Gadar 3 will be set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak conflict.
The source stated that Gadar 3 will bring back Tara Singh (Sunny Deol), Sakina (Ameesha Patel), and Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma), and if everything goes according to the plans, Gadar 3 could go on floors by the end of 2025.
About Gadar 2
Gadar 2 was released back in 2023. The film came out as a major box office success of the year. The film earned a massive ₹ 524.75 cr as its lifetime box office collection. Talking about the film, Gadar 2 is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. The film brings back the two most loved characters Tara Singh and Sakina from Gadar.
