Akshay Kumar has today announced the release date of his upcoming film OMG 2. While the fans of the 2012 film OMG are excited for the sequel, the Intenet is talking about the big clash at the box office. OMG 2 will clash with Sunny Deol’s much awaited film Gadar 2 on the 11th of August.
Both the films are huge and feature the biggest of superstars in each. The first part of both the films were huge blockbusters and fans cherish those films even in 2023. So, definitely it would be a tough choice for Bollywood fans. At the same time, it would be interesting to see the box office battle between both films. Meanwhile, we created a poll to know the preference of viewers bettween both films. Interestingly, the viewers are more inclined towards Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2.
OMG 2 is suffering a few drawbacks. Primarly, Akshay Kumar’s record is not going great from the last two years. All of his films like Bachchhan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan, Prithviraj, Ram Setu and Selfiee tanked at the box office with negative reviews from the critics and the audience. Secondly, some people criticized the 2012 release OMG which apparantly “mocked the Hindu sentiments.”
With these two factors into play, Sunny Deol has a upper-hand at the box office this time. Meanwhile, he is already in buzz as the makers re-released the first part as part of promotions.

Choosing Gadar 2, a fan said, “Hindu Virodhi Film OMG2 vs Patriotic Gadar 2 On 11 August.”
“Agar is movie mein hindu sanskriti ke khilaaf kuch hua to 11 ko sunny paaji pump ukhaad denge,” read a tweet.
Someone bashed Akshay Kumar by writing, “10 film bnaate ho. Jab koi nahi chalti to ek propaganda film banaate ho.”
Another tweet reads, “We Indians will choose patriotic movie gadar 2 over anti Hindu movie OMG2 on 11th aug.”
OMG 2 is a satirical comedy drama featuring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Arun Govil and Yami Gautam. It is written and directed by Amit Rai.
Gadar 2 brings back the iconic jodi of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. The film is directed by Anil Sharma, who made the first part as well.
