Elakshi Gupta made her Bollywood debut in 2020 with the blockbuster film ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’. She played the role of Soyarabai (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s wife) in the period drama starring Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Sharad Kelkar and Kajol in pivotal roles. Elkashi is now all set to bring interesting projects this year.
She is making her Marathi debut with the film titled ‘Bhram’. It is a suspense thriller film with Abhijeet Amkar. Vaibhav Londhe who is a Marathi rapper and singer is making his directorial debut with Bhram. Elakshi told that the makers are planning for an OTT release.
She will also be seen in a Hindi film called ‘Love You Shankar’ that stars Shreyas Talpade in lead. Talking about the film, she said, “I have completed shooting for the film. The film’s subject is re-birth. We shot certain scenes on Banaras Ghat. It was a divine experience. We had a really good time.”

When asked about the release, she said, “It will be released in theatres when the Covid situation gets better.”
Talking about working with Shreyas Talpade, she said, “He is a very humble and down-to-earth person. He was very polite and supportive to me. Sanjay Mishra is also there in the film. Abhimanyu Singh is playing the antagonist.”
Elakshi holds an MDS degree (Master of Dental Surgery). When we asked her about her journey to the entertainment industry, Elakshi said, “I am a Dentist. Just after completing my education, I entered the modeling industry. I started doing ramp shows. And eventually, I started doing acting as well. Acting was my passion since childhood and now I am pursuing it after my education is done. I am enjoying every bit of my journey. My clinic is in Balewadi, Pune. It is managed. But I am focused on my acting career.”
Elakshi feels that her 2020 film Tanhaji opened many doors for her. She said, “Tanhaji was a turning point for me. After that film, I started getting roles as a lead. It opened many options for me and gave me good exposure.”
