“Chapri Dialogues” In Adipurush Upsets Audience, Call For A Boycott

Fans are angered to see "chapri dialogues" in Adipurush, express outrage against the makers on social media.

Om Raut’s much-hyped and highly promoted film Adipurush is failing to impress the audience. The film was released today and has invited brutal criticism. Certain dialogues in the film have angered people so much that they are calling for a boycott of the film. A clip is going viral where Lord Hanuman (played by Devdatta Nage) visits Lanka for the first time and sets the state on fire. In the scene, Hanuman can heard saying “Kapda aur tel tere baap ka, jalegi bhi tere baap ki.”

People are shocked to see cheap slangs being used in a film that has Hindu sentimental values attached to it.

Sharing the clip, a netizen wrote, “Seriously? This type of chapri dialogues in #AdipurushReview #Adipurush. Now I have respect for #Brahmastra shiva shiva dialogues.”

Another person who watched the film tweeted, “These are the kind of Dialogues Urduwood is giving to the character of Hanuman Ji! Is he a deity or your streetside Bhaijaan?”

The film has not one but many objectionable dialogues which aren’t sitting well with the Hindu audience.

“With these kind of Tapori dialogues,does Om Raut and Manoj Muntashir really thought they could pull it off with asthaa of Sanatanis. Thoroughly, disappointed,” reads another tweet.

Boycott Bollywood and Boycott Adipurush are trending on Twitter today. Filmmaker Om Raut is facing severe backlash from the audience who watched the film today. People have also objected to the “glamourization” of Maa Sita and the “Islamification” of Raavan. The VFX has also failed to impress the audience.

The film is made with a budget of Rs 500 crore. With negative reviews flowing in from the critics as well as audience, the future of the film looks bleak.

Adipurush features Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh. It has been released in five languages- Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
