Ayushmann Khurrana Recalls Auditioning For Ekta Kapoor’s TV Serial

To fans' surprise, Ayushmann Khurrana had given TV audition, later got replaced by Pulkit Samrat and it happened to be Ekta Kapoor's show.

Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the most credible actors in Bollywood. He is also known for content-driven roles in films like Article 15, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Vicky Donar, and Anek. Everyone is aware of the fact that the Andhadhun actor was a Radio Jockey before becoming an actor. Less know that Ayushmann Khurrana had given a TV audition at the initial stage of his career.

He began his career by winning the reality show Roadies and later grabbing a big-screen film Vicky Donar. The actor-singer has climbed the stardom in style with his pickiness in choosing the scripts. Looking back almost every film of the actor talks about some important hidden subject of society.

The Article 15 actor revealed a secret of where his journey to acting started. Certainly, this is unknown to many and you will be shocked to know that Ayushmann had auditioned for an Ekta Kapoor show. Yes, that’s right, back in his struggling days the popular actor had given an audition for a TV show which was apparently Ekta Kapoor’s “Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”.

During an interaction with a leading news portal, Badhaai Ho actor spoke about the time when he had auditioned for a TV show. He disclosed the fact that it was an Ekta Kapoor show and explained why he didn’t take the role despite getting a chance to become a popular face in serials. Ayushmann said: “Yes, I did. It was a Balaji show, I do not remember the name. Perhaps it was either Kasauti Zindagii Kayy or Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Pulkit Samrat did that role eventually. Actually, I made it as an RJ by the time when I auditioned for the show. So I told my casting director ‘bro, I am going’. So I could not do that TV show.”

With his statement of Pulkit Samrat replacing him later, it is confirmed that he auditioned for “Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”. Pulkit essayed the role of Lakshya Virani, “Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” in 2006. Undoubtedly Ayushman Khurana’s journey in Bollywood has been inspiring to many. From being a radio jockey to winning MTV Roadies, not looking back after debuting in Vicky Donar, recording numerous tracks as a singer, and winning National awards for his fabulous acting. 

On the work front, Ayushmann was last seen in ‘Anek’ a film by Anubhav Sinha. He has Anirudh Iyer’s An Action Hero and Doctor G in his kitty.
