2. Vidya Balan
Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is yet another actress who normalized body weight gain. However, time and time again the actress has been criticized and trolled for her body weight. Addressing the issue Vidya Balan told TOI, “I’ve had hormonal problems all my life. It’s probably because of the judgment I’ve carried around my body. When I was a teenager, people would tell me, ‘You’ve got such a pretty face, why don’t you lose some weight?”
3. Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha is yet another Bollywood actress who has been trolled for her body weight. However, she chose to pay no heed to online trolls. Taking to her Instagram Sonakshi previously shared a video and wrote in the caption, “For years I’ve been trolled because of my weight. I’ve never felt the need to react because I always believed i was #BiggerThanThem… pun intended.”
4. Neha Dhupia
After her first pregnancy, Neha Dhupia was brutally fat-shamed by the netizens who called out the actress for gaining weight. However, the actress went head-on with the trolls and addressed the issue. In an interview, Neha said, “But I do want to address this as a larger problem because fat-shaming needs to stop for everyone, not just celebrities.”
5. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who had once been considered the sexiest and most beautiful actress in B-town became a target of trolls after the actress started gaining weight post her pregnancy. However, instead of the actress her husband Abhishek chose to speak and shut the trolls on behalf of his lady love. He said, “Yes, she’s a public figure, but people forget she’s also a woman and now a mother and there’s a line that’s not to be crossed. I don’t talk that way about any woman ever and it’s obviously not graceful for anyone to talk about her like that either.”
6. Zareen Khan
Veer actress Zareen Khan has often been trolled for her body weight. Addressing the trolls online, Zareen shared two pictures of herself from class 9th and class 12th. Sharing the picture she wrote, “I never let people’s comments or ideas about me bother me. Because it’s my life and my body and only I have the right to decide what I’m gonna do with it… Along with the weight loss came a lot of stretch marks but instead of feeling ashamed of it and trying to hide it, I believe in flaunting it. It makes me feel like a tigress with her stripes”.
