AR Rahman’s Pune Concert Was Stopped Midway By Police; Singer Reacted!

AR Rahman’s Pune concert was stopped by police in the middle, and now the police have clarified the issue regarding the same.

Recently, Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman was seen performing a live concert in the Maharashtra city of Pune, and the show was running successfully, but its end was not good. In the middle of the concert, the Pune police stopped the show and instructed him to wind up the concert immediately. Internet users showed their displeasure as soon as the video went viral. Now Singer and the police have reacted to this.

A video of this incident is going viral on social media, in which a police officer can be seen walking on stage and asking Rahman and other artists and organisers to stop the music show. According to several news reports, the officer told the organiser to end the show as it went on after the 10 p.m. deadline, Inspector Santosh Patil of Bundagarden police station, who in the video asked Rahman and other artists to end the show, while looking at his watch.

In 2005, the Supreme Court banned the use of loudspeakers and music systems in public places between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., except in cases of public emergency, citing the serious effects of noise pollution on the health of residents.

The report further states that no case related to the concert has been registered.

After the concert, Rahman thanked everyone on his Twitter handle and said that he would come back to sing with everyone in Pune City. “Pune! Thank you for all the love and euphoria last night! Was such a roller coaster concert! No wonder Pune is home to so much classical music! ,” he wrote.
