Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Dobaaraa, which stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. However, in a recent interview, the filmmaker opened up on the viral boycott trends and said, “We are living in very strange times. Two years later, Sushant Singh Rajput still trends every day.”

In a recent interview with Indian Express, the Bollywood filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap opened up on the viral boycott trends and said, “We are living in very strange times. Two years later, Sushant Singh Rajput still trends every day. These are strange times, where everything is to be boycotted. It is not just on one side, it is happening across. Everyone is being boycotted: political parties, the Indian cricket team, everyone. This country now has a boycott culture. if you are not being boycotted, then you don’t matter.”

He concluded by saying, “We are dealing with the consequences of our own choices, whatever it is, we have to accept it. You cannot sit here and say ‘oh no’. There are lots of countries that have survived a lot. There is also a way to survive and continue doing something, continue being relevant. Or do nothing, just exist”.

Earlier during the promotions of his upcoming film Dobaaraa, the filmmaker requested the netizens to boycott his film Dobaaraa just like they are boycotting and trending Laal Singh Chaddha, he said, “I am feeling left out. Even I want ki meri film boycott karo…please make our film trend on Twitter by boycotting.” Sharing her views on the matter actress Taapsee Pannu said, ” Yes please boycott Dobaaraa trend karva do…we also want to trend on Twitter.”

The filmmaker is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Dobaaraa, the film will mark the collaboration of Taapsee and Anurag after their film Manmarziyaan. The film is the official Hindi remake of the 2018 Spanish movie Mirage. Written by Nihit Bhave, the film also stars Pavail Gulati, Rahul Bhat, and Saswata Chatterjee.
