Amitabh Bachchan To Play Katrina Kaif’s Father In Vikas Bahl’s Next?

Katrina Kaif was last seen in Salman Khan starrer Bharat and while she was next to be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi opposite Akshay Kumar, the release of the film was delayed because of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Now as per the latest news, the speculations are that Katrina Kaif will be next seen sharing the big screen with Amitabh Bachchan in a slice of comedy film helmed by Super 30 fame director Vikas Bahl.

As per the sources, the film is titled Deadly and the plot of the story revolves around a funeral. And it revolves around the protagonist’s journey of self-discovery. And since the film will be a comedy-drama, the film will have humorous undertones to it.

The sources close to the film say that Katrina Kaif has loved the story of the film and has given her nod for the same. The film also requires a central figure of a father, Vikas and Katrina have reportedly discussed the role of the father with veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan.

The reports state that Amitabh Bachchan has also liked the storyline of the film, and has expressed his wish to be a part of the film. However, Amitabh is yet to sign the film.

The film was supposed to go on floors in May but due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, the shooting has been paused.

If later on, if Amitabh Bachchan signs the film, it will be for the second time after ‘Boom’ that Katrina and the veteran actor would share the screen space.

The sources say, “Katrina is looking forward to push the envelope and explore new genres in the phase of her career which in a way is a journey of self-discovery.”

And furthermore, post ‘Deadly’ Katrina will be seen in a supernatural comedy alongside Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter and the film is reportedly titled as ‘Phone Bhoot’, added the sources.
