On the occasion of International Mother’s Day, people are posting pictures with their mothers and expressing love and gratitude for the unconditional love of their mothers. Seeing the outpour of love, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar got emotional.
In the memory of his late mother, he posted a throwback selfie with her and wrote, “Although, there’s never a day when I don’t remember you, but today, after seeing everyone’s pictures on Mother’s Day, I am missing you a lot. Miss You Ma.”

Akshay Kumar lost his mother in September 2021. On Sep 9, he shared the heartbreaking news of his mother Aruna Bhatia’s demise. Akshay wrote in a tweet, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”
On the work front, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the trailer launch of his much-awaited historical film ‘Prithviraj’. The film also stars Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood. The trailer will release on 9 May and the film will hit the theatres on June 3.
