1. Affair With Sushant Singh Rajput
Kriti Sanon never openly talks about her love life. That’s what she did when she was dating Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant and Kriti fell in love while shooting for Raabta in 2015-16. Sushant was already in a serious relationship with his Pavitra Rishta co-star Ankita Lokhande. While Ankita was planning their wedding, love blossomed between Sushant and Kriti Sanon. In 2016, Sushant broke his six-year-long relationship with Ankita, who then went into depression.
Meanwhile, things didn’t last long between Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput. Kriti never even opened up about her relationship until he died in 2020. After his death, Kriti was seen putting emotional and cryptic posts on Instagram.
2. Kriti Sanon-Om Raut Kiss
Kriti Sanon was recently embroiled in controversy when director Om Raut was seen kissing her. It happened during their visit to Tirupati temple as part of promotions of Adipurush. A video surfaced online where Om Raut was seen kissing Kriti Sanon on the cheek outside the temple while bidding goodbye.

Though it was a harmless gesture, these celebs were bashed as it all happened within the temple premises. Ramesh Naidu Nagothu, the BJP State Secretary in Andhra Pradesh tweeted, “Is it really necessary to bring your antics to a sacred place? Engage in public displays of affection, like kissing and hugging in front of the Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala is deemed disrespectful and unacceptable.”
Netizens also expressed their displeasure on social media.
3. Called Herself Maa Sita
Kriti Sanon was trolled for comparing herself to Maa Sita in one of her Instagram posts. The actress recently shared two pictures on her Instagram account. The first image featured herself in the role of Janaki (Maa Sita), while the second was a throwback photo of her mother, Geeta Sanon. In the caption, she referred to herself as “Sita Maa, My Janaki” and on her mother’s photo, she wrote, “Geeta Maa, My Jaan.”
This post didn’t sit well with the netizens and they dropped negative comments on it. People questioned how she could consider herself to be Sita Maa. A person wrote, “Please don’t compare yourself with Sita Maa,” while someone else commented, “Read the five verses of Ramayana first before claiming such titles.”
4. Sensual look in Adipurush
Kriti Sanon was also trolled for her sensual and glamorous look in the mythological film Adipurush. Kriti plays the role of Maa Sita in the film but her outfits and overall portrayal upset the audience.
