Hollywood star Brad Pitt recently joined Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce on the New Heights podcast while promoting his new racing film F1. During their conversation, Brad Pitt opened up about how he views today’s young actors in Hollywood – while admiring their energy he expressed concern about the kind of choices they are pressured to make.
“I like watching what the new generation is coming in with,” Brad said. “I like to see what they are up against and the way they negotiate and work their way through it. They enjoy it more.”
Reflecting on how the industry has changed since he began acting, Brad said, “We were more uptight, and it had to be about acting… like, you didn’t sell out, you didn’t sell out.”

He added, “But now it’s like, ‘We can be artists in many different arenas, so let’s do it and let’s enjoy it.’ But they also get caught up in you ‘have to have a franchise’ or ‘have to have a superhero.’ But I keep saying, ‘Don’t! Don’t! They’ll die.’”
His comments serve as a word of caution to rising talent – reminding them not to lose themselves in the race for mainstream success.
Brad Pitt has mostly avoided superhero films, except for a cameo in Deadpool 2 and stayed away from most franchise projects, aside from the Ocean’s trilogy. In his latest film F1 directed by Joseph Kosinski, sees him play a retired racer making a return to the track and is currently enjoying strong box office success.
Brad’s message is clear: success doesn’t need to come at the cost of authenticity.
