Apollo Creed from the Rocky movie Franchise, actor Carl Weathers passed away, and his family confirmed the news on February 2. In his 76 years of life, the incident took place on February 1st.
His family gave a statement saying, “Carl Weathers Dead: ‘Rocky’ Star Dies at 76”. His family continued, “Carl was an exceptional human being who lived an extraordinary life. Through his contributions to film, television, the arts and sports, he has left an indelible mark and is recognized worldwide and across generations. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, partner, and friend.”
On the professional landscape, Carl has worked in the entertainment industry for more than 50 years through various movies and television shows. He gained massive popularity through his role of Apollo Creed in the movie Rocky. He hit the screen in four parts of “Rocky Franchise”. He worked in some notable movies, like “Predator”, “Action Jackson”, “Happy Gilmore” etc. Within this he has done numerous television series, like “Explosion Jones”, “Chicago Justice”, “Chicago Fire”, “Colony”, “Psych”, “Brothers” and many others. The actor was indeed good at projecting his voice and hence he had dubbed for animated movies like “Toy Story 4” “Eight Crazy Nights” etc.
Carl had quite a large family as he married three times, first with Mary Ann Castle, then Rhona Unsell and lastly, Jennifer Peterson. But he got divorced all three times.
