Salaar Box Office Triumph: Prabhas’ Film Nears Baahubali Record, Surpasses Rs 625 Crore Globally On Day 11

Globally, "Salaar" has amassed a whopping Rs 625 crore, according to Hombale Films, placing it just Rs 25 crore away from surpassing the first "Baahubali" film

Amidst the continued New Year celebrations, Prashanth Neel’s magnum opus, “Salaar,” has surged closer to the coveted Rs 400 crore milestone in the domestic market. Featuring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film experienced a slight dip in collections during weekdays but regained momentum over the lucrative New Year weekend.

On Day 11, “Salaar” amassed an impressive Rs 15.5 crore at the box office, marking a significant surge in its total nett collection in India, now standing at Rs 360.77 crore. Notably, the Telugu version remains the highest contributor, boasting a 48.75% occupancy, followed closely by the Hindi version with a 28.03% occupancy on Monday. Tamil and Malayalam versions also added to the film’s success with 20.26% and 16.32% occupancy, respectively.

Globally, “Salaar” has amassed a whopping Rs 625 crore, according to Hombale Films, placing it just Rs 25 crore away from surpassing the first “Baahubali” film’s worldwide collection of Rs 650 crore. Already outstripping Vijay’s “Leo” and exceeding the global earnings of Rajinikanth’s “Jailer,” “Salaar” secures its place as the fifth-largest Indian film of 2023.

However, while “Salaar” managed to break the opening day record of Atlee’s action-packed film with an impressive Rs 90.7 crore, surpassing Jawan’s Rs 1100 crore-plus haul may pose a challenge. Jawan, which collected Rs 389.88 crore in its first week, maintained a lead over Salaar, which stood at Rs 308 crore in collections.

Expressing gratitude to his loyal audience, actor Prabhas took to Instagram on Monday to wish his fans a Happy New Year. He shared, “While I decide the fate of Khansaar⚔️💥, you all sit back and have a fantastic New Year darlings! Thank you for owning #SalaarCeaseFire and making it a big success.” Prabhas has faced challenges in delivering a hit since 2017, with his three releases post-Baahubali 2: The Conclusion—Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush—all struggling at the box office.
