Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 – A.D is an upcoming epic mythological-science fiction dystopian film featuring an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and others. The much-anticipated dystopian film has taken the internet by a buzz ever since it was announced.
Following the buzz, many reports suggested that the digital rights of the film have already been sold off. Recently, there was buzz surrounding Prime Video’s acquisition of the digital rights for the South Indian versions of “Kalki 2898 AD” for an astounding 150 crores.
However, now the latest talk in Tollywood film circles suggests that the digital rights for the Hindi version of the film have been sold for an astonishing price of 175 crores. Despite strong interest from several platforms, Netflix reportedly secured the post-theatrical streaming rights exclusively for the Hindi version of this blockbuster film.
Kalki 2898 – A.D. is an upcoming epic science-fiction dystopian film, based on Hindu scriptures and is set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD. According to IMDb, the film features the modern-day avatar of Vishnu, a Hindu god, who is believed to have descended to earth to protect the world from evil forces. Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 – A.D has been made on a budget of a staggering ₹ 600 crores.
Kalki 2898 AD will be released in theatres on 9 May 2024 in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, English, and Malayalam languages.
