Chiranjeevi starrer Bhola Shankar opened up to mixed reviews from the netizens. The Telugu action-drama which is a remake of Tamil film, “Vedalam” is being criticized for not being “up to the mark” while some netizens have praised actor Chiranjeevi for his performance in the movie.

Criticizing the remake, film analyst Ramesh Manobala tweeted, “Apart from megastar #Chiranjeevi’s fine performance, the movie is a dismal and bewildering attempt at remaking #AjithKumar’s #Vedalam that falls flat on nearly every conceivable level. Director Meher Ramesh‘s lack of effort is clearly evident. The movie is a baffling combination of poor writing, subpar making, and disjointed storytelling that leaves the audience bewildered and unengaged.”

All About Bhola Shankar

Directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Anil Sunkara, Bhola Shankar is an upcoming Telugu action-drama film which is a remake version of Tamil movie “Vedalam”. The film stars Chiranjeevi in main role alongside Keerthy Suresh and Tamannaah Bhatia. Apart from them the film also features Akkineni Sushanth, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Raghu Babu and others in significant roles. The film was released in the theatres on 11 August.
