Bhola Shankar Box Office Collection Day 1: Chiranjeevi Starrer Beats “OMG 2”

Chiranjeevi starrer Telugu action film, "Bhola Shankar" has left behind Akshay Kumar starrer "OMG 2" with its box office opening.

Bhola Shankar: Meher Ramesh’s directorial, “Bhola Shankar” was released in the theaters today on 11th August. The Telugu remake starring Chiranjeevi was released alongside Bollywood films “Gadar 2” and “OMG 2”. And as per the latest trade reports, Chiranjeevi starrer “Bhola Shankar” had a bigger box office opening than Akshay Kumar starrer “OMG 2”. Here’s how much the film earned-

The Telugu action-drama “Bhola Shankar” starring South superstar Chiranjeevi opened up with mix reviews from the audience. The film was released alongside two major Bollywood films, including Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2” and Akshay Kumar’s “OMG 2”.

As per the industry tracker Sacnilk, the Telugu remake has now left behind Akshay Kumar starrer “OMG 2” much behind. Bhola Shankar reportedly made an opening of 20cr in India. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 made a box office opening of around 9.5cr, almost the half of what Bhola Shankar’s opening.

On the other hand, Bhola Shankar is expected to see a rise in the numbers throughout the weekend. The theatres are currently streaming four major films, two from South industry including “Jailer” and “Bhola Shankar” and two from Bollywood, including “Gadar 2” and “OMG 2”. It would be a tough battle for all the 4 films during the weekend.

All About Bhola Shankar

Directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Anil Sunkara, Bhola Shankar is an upcoming Telugu action-drama film which is a remake version of Tamil movie “Vedalam”. The film stars Chiranjeevi in main role alongside Keerthy Suresh and Tamannaah Bhatia. Apart from them the film also features Akkineni Sushanth, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Raghu Babu and others in significant roles. The film was released in the theatres on 11 August.
