Aakanksha Singh, who is popular in the Telugu film industry has shared her opinion on the North vs South debate. The actress refers to herself as a pan-India star and commented on the most highlighted topic of the time, post the super success of Pusha, KGF 2, and RRR.

The actress, who starred opposite Kiccha Sudeep in Pailwaan, started her acting career in a TV show, later she evolved in Telugu cinema adding her contribution to Bollywood films too. Talking about the south vs Bollywood subject the actress said there is no discrimination between the industries anymore.

Aakanksha Singh said, “I am a pan-India actress. I don’t consider the Bollywood industry and the South industry separately. Yes, the languages are different. But everybody watches the content produced by the South industry, be it dubbed in Hindi or whichever language it is released in. People are watching South films. Makers are making pan-India films. So, there is no discrimination anymore. I think that line is vanishing.”

The actress further added, “People are working in Bollywood and at the same time, they are working in Tollywood or different South Indian languages. Art is art. You cannot bind it in any language for that matter. What people want to see is good content. Be it in any language, I am ready to do it [films] if there is good content. For me, I am a pan-India actress. If I am getting a South Indian film and if the content is nice and if I am getting a Bollywood film and the content is nice, I will do it. For me, my hunger is my work. It is not dependent on any medium or language.”

On the work front, Aakanksha Singh’s web series, Parampara 2 released on 21st July on Disney+ Hotstar. She will also share the screen with Vineet Kumar Singh in Rangbaaz 3. The actress was last seen in Runway 34 which also stars Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rakul Preet Singh.
