Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for his upcoming film Thank You. Expressing gratitude to the whole team of Thank You the actor said the film has taught him the seriousness of any relationship. The actor will be seen in three different characters. The Telugu superstar has revealed what made him accept the project.
Thank You has been a special project for Naga Chaitanya as he has learned to express and thank people. He also revealed that the movie changed his approach towards films. Commenting on why he agreed to do a film in which he has to play three different characters, the Love Story actor made an interesting revelation.
One of the three characters of Chaitanya is a young teenager and that’s what caught his attention. As a part of the role, in Thank You directed by Vikram he will be seen playing the role of Mahesh Babu’s fan.
Naga Chaitanya said: “The film tells the story of Abhiram from his teens to late 30s. The character has a lot of layers which, I felt, was challenging to perform. Working in Thank You was both physically and mentally exhausting as I have to sport three distinct looks. I have attended workshops for three months and transformed my body to get into the skin of the character.”
He further added: “I enjoyed the whole process because a script like Thank You is rare to come by. I won’t be able to play a teenager again in my career. So I approached this film thinking this is my last chance to play a 16-year-old. The emotional conflict in our film will definitely tug at your heartstrings. I am playing a Mahesh Babu fan in the film and there are references of films like Okkadu (2003), Pokiri (2006) and Dookudu (2011).”
Thank You is slated to hit the theaters on July 22. The romantic comedy movie is directed by Vikram Kumar and produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations. Besides Naga Chaitanya will see Raashi Khanna, Malavika Nair, Avika Gor, Sai Sushanth Reddy, and Prakash Raj in prominent roles. Naga Chaitanya will also be seen making a Bollywood debut in the upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan which will release on 11th August 2022.
