Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has been going strong at the box office. R Madhavan’s ambitious project hit the theatres across the world on July 1. It’s been receiving positive reviews from the audience as well as celebrities including Rajinikanth.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect traces the life of former ISRO scientist and rocket engineer Nambi Narayanan. At the start of his career, he refused a lucrative offer from NASA and instead joined ISRO to serve the nation. However, he was accused and arrested in a false espionage case. While the film has been receiving a good response in cinemas, a large chunk of the audience is awaiting the OTT release.

Despite theatrical releases, fans await the films to be released online. Be it 2022’s biggest blockbuster ‘RRR’ or the audience’s favourite ‘The Kashmir Files’, the OTT release helps films to reach a wider audience. Fans have now been asking R Madhavan about the online release of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. A user tweeted, “Hello Sir, am living in Germany Desparately want to watch Rocketry..pl release it as soon as possible in OTT.”
Another user asked R Madhavan on Twitter, “Madhavan sir, are you planning to release it on OTT for lazy bums like me?”
To this, he replied, “Nope not now.”
Well, as R Madhavan said, Rocketry is not releasing online anytime soon. Fans will have to catch a show in theatres to watch this masterpiece.
The biographical drama was shot in multiple languages simultaneously including Hindi, Tamil and English. Superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya have cameo roles in the film. This film also marks the directorial debut of R Madhavan.
