Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar’s talk show Koffee With Karan is back with another season. Three episodes have aired so far and each of them sparked some interesting conversations and revealed some jaw-dropping scoops. However, the latest episode featuring Akshay Kumar and Samantha Ruth Prabhu has sparked some controversy. Tamil actress Nayanthara fans are quite upset with Karan Johar for a remark that he made on the show.
During the show, Karan Johar asked The Family Man 2 star Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who she thought was the biggest female actor in the South. Samantha called Nayanthara the biggest heroine in South and revealed that she has recently finished shooting a film with her. Karan then interrupted, “Well, not in my list,” referring to a list by Ormax Media, which suggests that Samantha is the number one female actor in India.
After the episode aired, Nayanthara fans slammed Karan Johar as they called his comment ‘disrespectful’. Check out some tweets:

Nayanthara is best known for her work in Tamil and Telugu industries. She is also one of India’s highest-paid actresses. She made her Tamil debut as a lead heroine in 2005 in the film ‘Ayya’. On 9 June 2022, she married her longtime boyfriend Vignesh Shivan.
