In a surprising turn of events, South actor Mansoor Ali Khan who was brutally bashed for his statement on Trisha Krishnan, has now filed a lawsuit against Trisha, Chiranjeevi, and Kushboo Sundar for “defamation” statements. Apparently, these statements were made against the actor on X/Twitter. Masoor Ali Khan accused the actors of tarnishing his image and demanded 1cr as compensation from the actors. The hearing will be held in the Madras High Court on 11th December.
Mansoor Ali Khan Controversy With Trisha Krishnan
This lawsuit comes after Masoor Ali Khan’s recent controversy with actress Trisha Krishnan. For those who are unaware, in November, an interview clip went viral in which, Mansoor Ali Khan passed some very inappropriate statements against Trisha Krishnan.
He said, “When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought that I could carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes in a number of movies and it’s not new to me. But these guys didn’t even show Trisha to me on the sets during the Kashmir schedule”.
Following the same, many celebs including Adivi Sesh, Chiranjeevi, and others came out in support of Trisha and slammed Mansoor Ali Khan. Following his statement, Trisha Krishnan also condemned the actor and wrote, “I will never share screen space with Mansoor Ali Khan. His remarks are not just disappointing but reflect a mindset that has no place in our industry.”
Later, Chennai police filed an FIR against Mansoor Ali Khan for his derogatory statement against actress Trisha Krishnan. He was booked under Section 354 A (sexual harassment) and Section 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman).
Following the social media backlash, Mansoor Ali Khan then issued a statement apologizing to Trisha Krishnan for his comments, he wrote, “My fellow actress Trisha, forgive me. When a police officer told me that Trisha was upset over my comments, I felt bad. I hope God gives me the opportunity to bless you when you enter marital bliss.”
