Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the much-awaited and highly anticipated Tamil sports drama, Lal Salaam was finally released in the theatres on 9th February. Starring South superstar Rajinikanth the film opened up to positive reviews and reactions from moviegoers and the public. However, despite receiving a positive response, Rajinikanth starrer Tamil sports drama took a slow start at the box office on its opening day.

Lal Salaam delves into the concept of religious coexistence. It showcases the narrative of aspiring cricketers who, despite their talent, are unjustly dismissed from the team. They must confront and surpass this setback to pursue their dreams.

The film opened up to positive responses from moviegoers and the public. However, despite receiving positive response the film witnessed a disappointingly low box office opening. As per Saclink.com, Rajinikanth starrer Lal Salaam earned ₹ 4.30 Cr on its opening day. The film is expected to see growth during the upcoming weekend (Saturday-Sunday).

Directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter, Aishwarya, the Tamil film, Lal Salaam features Rajinikanth in the lead role as “Moideen Bhai”. As per the reports, legendary cricketer Kapil Dev also appears in a cameo role in the film. Apart from them, the film will also feature Vishnu Vishal, Nirosha, Dhanya Balakrishna, Sajjadul Ahamed Riya, and others in significant roles. The Tamil sports drama was released in the theatres on 9th January.
