Jailer is a Tamil action-comedy film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran. The film will feature South superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role. Apart from him the film will also feature Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan and Mirnaa Menon.
Jailer Release Date
Jailer will be released in theatres on 10th August alongside Bollywood films, OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar and Pakaj Tripathi and Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel.

Jailer is a Tamil film which features Rajinikanth as Muthuvel Pandian, a strong and strict jailer, who in the film will try to stop a gang that is set out to rescue their leader, Veerappan, (played by Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal) from the prison. Watch the trailer here-

As per the reports, Nelson Dilipkumar’s directorial, “Jailer” is made on a budget of approx. 200cr. The film stars Rajinikanth and Mohanlal in the main roles.
Jailer Advance Booking
Reportedly, Jailer is currently soaring higher in advance bookings than both Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2” and Akshay Kumar’s “OMG 2”. According to a Business Today report, the film sold 6,12,000 tickets on Monday, leaving behind Gadar 2 which sold, 83,300 tickets.
Jailer OTT Release Date
As per various reports and rumors, the film will probably sell its streaming rights to Netflix, or it might keep the digital right for its own streaming platform, Sun NXT. The film will expectedly stream on OTT by the end of September or in October.
