“Star” features a talented cast, led by Kavin as Kalai, Lal as his father, Geetha Kailasam as his mother, Aaditi Pohankar as Jimikky, and Preity Mukhudhan as Meera Malaikodi. Initially, Harish Kalyan was set for the lead but was replaced by Kavin. The project, announced in August 2023 as ‘Kavin’s Next,’ began principal photography in June 2023 in Chennai, wrapping up by mid-February 2024.
