Film Producer Soundarya Jagadish’s Death By Suicide At The Age Of 55

Kannada Film Producer and businessman Soundarya Jagadish died by suicide at the age of 55. The incident occurred on Sunday, April 14, at his Bengaluru house. He hung himself and his wife Rekha found him dead. Earlier it was rumored that he died due to a severe cardiac attack. The family is in deep shock due to his sudden unnatural death. 

DCP, Saidulu Adavath said, “Based on Rekha’s complaint, a case of unnatural death has been registered at Mahalakshmipuram police station, and the investigation is under progress. No suicide note was found, according to family members.” His friend Shreyas, who has been looking into the matter, said, “We will ascertain the reason behind his extreme step after the funeral procedures. He didn’t have any health issues.”

Soundarya Jagadish’s mother-in-law used to live with their family. Police mentioned that her death had affected him. They explained, “The family said he had sustained huge losses in his business. He also lost his mother-in-law 15 days ago. She lived with the family. Her death affected him, and probably these are the reasons for his extreme step.”

Soundarya Jagadish has produced several films, including ‘Appu Pappu’, ‘Snehitaru’, ‘Ramleela’ and ‘Mast Maja Maadi’. Many expressed their condolences about his sudden demise. Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa visited his house  and met his family after his demise. Producer and director Sudhir Tharun posted on X about his demise. He wrote, “Shocked and saddened to hear of Soundarya Jagadish sir’s sudden passing. His presence in the Kannada film industry will be deeply missed. Sending heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.”

As per the HT report, he was mainly in the real-estate business and also owned a pub which was involved in controversy and its license was cancelled temporarily.  There is no solid reason for his death but the investigation is going on.
