Diljit Dosanjh’s latest film Sardaar Ji 3 has landed in controversy, especially after the announcement that Pakistani actress Hania Aamir is part of the cast. Amid rising political tensions between India and Pakistan, the renowned actor-singer is facing backlash including calls for bans and social media suspension. But a new claim from Reddit has now shifted the conversation.
Posting anonymously a Reddit user stated that “Diljit’s PR is reportedly paying ₹1 lakh per post to every major meme and social media page to post in his support.” The user went on to say that the online campaign is aggressive, hinting at a bigger strategy: “By now, you must’ve seen the PR machine already in motion. But what I heard from a friend in the PR circuit is even wilder, they’re planning to flood the internet with supportive posts every single hour.”
The user also claimed paparazzi accounts were also approached, but“not everyone agreed to play along.”
While there’s no official confirmation or proof backing these statements, the post has already gained attention online, with many posting their reactions in the comment section. A user commented, “He can run off to Canada. India doesn’t need traitors.” Another raised a questioned, “The question is where is all of this money coming from?” While an anonymous redditor commented, “You know seeing all this PR post is making hate him more ..he could have used this money to reshoot the scenes ..and promoted that could have earned him way well over his cost.”
The backlash began after Diljit Dosanjh’s trailer for Sardaar Ji 3 revealed Hania Aamir as a lead. The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) condemned the move, citing her past remarks post Operation Sindoor. They called for “immediate suspension of Diljit’s social media accounts in India” and demanded his concerts, content, and public appearances be banned nationwide.
While Diljit Dosanjh’s manager already issued a statement clarifying that the film was shot much earlier, before any tensions arose and that the actor has no political agenda.
Whether the Reddit claims are true or not, the ongoing drama around Sardaar Ji 3 continues to make headlines and the film will now only release internationally.
