Oscars 2021 Will Be In Person Telecast, Not Virtual

The most awaited and coveted 93rd Academy Awards also known as the Oscar Awards are going to be happening like every other year year as an in person event and not a virtual event in April 2021.

This news is surely a sign that after a long break of about 8 months thanks to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, things are slowly turning back to normal and is also a positive sign as well where after ending all speculations, the news is official that Oscars 2021 will be in person telecast, not virtual.

This is the biggest and most important coveted awards ceremony every year that is eagerly awaited with bated breath by the youth, netizens, film fanatics, cinema aficionados, fans and for everyone across the globe where the critics and cinephiles are so happy that even in midst of the COVID 19 pandemic, reclaiming its former glory and importance, the Oscars 2021 will be in person telecast, not virtual.

Despite the ongoing rumors and speculative stories of it going virtual with the digital Zoom enabled event, this exciting scoop came in as a much needed pleasant surprise for all as now its officially confirmed that Oscars 2021 will be in person telecast, not virtual.

Yes, this is true that the 93rd Academy Awards also popularly known as the Oscar Awards, will be hosting the nominees but keeping all the said social distancing and mandatory precautions in mind which has been stated in an official report of a leading digital entertainment website where it was also mentioned that how the dates of the Oscar gala event was pushed more further to 25th April 2021 which is probably eight weeks later than its usual date because of the deadly and life threatening global corona virus pandemic but even after the mellow moods of many people, it is surely worth it.

This also means that it is giving ample amount of time and momentum along with fresh impetus that is needed by the theatres and cinemas to reopen and start slowly functioning themselves with all the said precautions but a bit normally and also to make sure that there are more movies in the running for the official feature films category to compete for the coveted and much prominent Oscar Awards. But, in other case scenario, if the theatres don’t start functioning normally, even though, the Academy is all set and prepared to make sure that this year’s celebration will have participants in form of feature film entries till 28th February 2021.

A representative from the Academy and ABC told the leading international digital entertainment website, “The Oscars in-person telecast will happen”. Explaining in details about the said safety measures being kept in mind for same, he also told, “The Academy has done a walkthrough of the Dolby recently to see all the multiple options”.

Also giving a direct hint about the fact that this time around for Oscars 2021, there might be various changes and tweaks in the way the Oscars will make the guests sit at the venue which is a very huge and spacious 3,400-seat Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile for those who are unaware, Jallikattu is India’s official entry in the Best International Feature Film category and Shameless has made the race in the Live Action Short Film Category. Now, we are waiting with crossed fingers for official curtain raiser of the Oscar 2021 nominations that will be announced on 15th March 2021.
