Amid the nationwide lockdown cricketing activities have been halted and hence the cricketers are finding ways to interact with their fans. While some cricketers like David Warner is busy making TikTok videos, others are posting their home workout routine with their fans and followers. The players also interact with their fans and other fellow cricketers by conducting Live session on Instagram.

Meanwhile, team India skipper Virat Kohli has also been cooped up at home due to the lockdown orders and has been quite active on social media. He is spreading awareness about the COVID-19 infection and also some hilarious videos and stories. Recently, he shared a throwback picture of himself on Instagram and made his fans gush over his sun-kissed picture which highlights his brown eyes.

The comment section flooded with compliments for the fiery batsman but amid those comments, it was the remark of former English cricketer Kevin Pietersen which caught everyone’s attention. He commented, “Shave your beard off.”

But it seems like Pietersen’s quirky remark didn’t go well with the Indian skipper who hit back with a hilarious reply. Virat replied, “@kp24 better than your TikTok videos.” The friendly Instagram war between the two iconic cricketers garnered a lot of attention from Instagram users.

This is not the first time the two cricketers have been involved in banter on social media. Earlier when Kohli decided to style his beard and posted a video on Instagram describing what he did, Pietersen dished out some funny banter.

Pietersen commented on the video, “Does it get rid of your grey there buddy?” pointing out the grey hair in Virat’s beard. To which Kohli replied by saying, “make you feel good.”

Kohli and Pietersen had previously engaged in a candid discussion on an Instagram Live session where they talked about the IPL and his career lows as well as the lockdown enforced to combat the spread of the COVID-19 infection.
