Taylor Swift Took To ‘X’ About Her Collaboration With Post Malone For ‘Fortnight’!

The American Pop-Star has collaborated with Post Malone for Fortnight, the first single of her album 'The Tortured Poets Department'.

Taylor Swift revealed that she worked with Post Malone, a star musician, on the first single from The Tortured Poets Department. On April 18th, (Thursday) a few hours before the release of her new album, the 34-year old pop icon made the announcement on X.

“The first single from The Tortured Poets Department is…………. ‘Fortnight’ featuring @postmalone,” Taylor shared on X. “I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever. I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight. Honestly can’t wait for you guys to hear this song at Midnight TONIGHT and see the video at 8pm ET TOMORROW.”

Swift’s new album is scheduled to release on April 19th (Friday), at midnight. Since she revealed it when accepting an award at the Grammys earlier this year, Swifties have been eagerly awaiting the release of her new song.

“So, I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the last two years,” the pop star expressed while accepting her award for Best Pop Vocal Album. “It’s called The Tortured Poets Department. I’m going to go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you, I love you!”

Fans firmly believe that Taylor Swift’s separation with ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn served as inspiration for the new song. The two were together from 2016 to the middle of 2023, at which point Taylor moved on and started seeing Travis Kelce.
