Zoha Wani is a person with a beautiful heart. She runs an NGO called Helping Hands Cancer Foundation in Kashmir that helps financially weak cancer patients in their treatments and after aid. And during the tough times of Covid-19, they also helped the needy families burdened due to the pandemic by providing ration.
The foundation works closely with cancer patients and takes care of all the finances involved in the entire treatment of cancer along with the post-medication. They have helped almost 400 cancer patients till date. In the first phase of the lockdown, they helped almost 1500 families with 3 months ration, making sure people don’t sleep on an empty stomach. They have also helped people with oxygen cylinders. And donated a ventilator to a hospital.
Zoha says, “My foundation is here to help the poor needy cancer patients in Kashmir with all the financial support they would need. In the pandemic, we extended our help to families affected by the effects of the pandemic and lockdown. It is a work of love and selfless devotion. With whatever little that I can do, I’m happy I can help society.”
