India’s most celebrated player Mahendra Singh Dhoni celebrates his 39th birthday today (July 7). Wishes have been pouring in from in for MS Dhoni on social media not only from his fans and followers but also from his former and current teammates.

Former team India players Virender Sehwag and VVS Laxman alongside Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav were among the first to share their birthday wishes.

Kedar Jadhav even penned down a heartfelt note for his CSK teammate and skipper. He wrote, “best friend, teammate and captain.”

Virender Sehwag took to his Twitter handle to write, “Once in a generation, a player comes and a nation connects with him, think of him as a member of their family, kuch bahut apna sa lagta hai. Happy Birthday to a man who is the world ( Dhoni-ya ) for his many admirers.”

Dhoni’s CSK teammate and best buddy Suresh Raina, posted a video to wish dear brother. Raina tweeted, “Here’s wishing a very Happy Birthday @msdhoni! to one of my favorite human, brother & a leader I could ever ask for! The man who has always played with his mind and heart. Thank you for all the inspiration Dhoni Bhai.”

Team India’s Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav thanked Dhoni for being an amazing human being while former India cricketer VVS Laxman said Dhoni’s composure and patience continue to be an inspiration.

MS Dhoni has stayed from the international matches since he last played against New Zealand during the semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup.

Dhoni was to lead the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in this year’s IPL but the tournament got postponed due to the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
