Social media can be a boon and bane as well, which gets proved with this fact that originally hailing from Iran with the name Fatemeh Khishvand, social media star who is Angelina Jolie’s look alike, Sahar Tabar faces 10 years imprisonment.
Sahar Tabar has been arrested and jailed for 10 years for her illegal social media activities where the 19 year old Instagram star has been taken into custody for a decade long jail term with charges of corrupting young people along with blatantly disrespecting the Islamic republic. According to an official report on The Guardian, the charges against Tabar included, ‘blasphemy, inciting violence, gaining income through inappropriate means and encouraging youths to corruption’.
As of now, post her arrest, Sahar is hoping to get some exemption and a pardon as even her team of lawyers have pointed out by specifically mentioning her age at the time of the ‘offenses committed’ which proves she was a minor and juvenile teenage girl and not an adult.
However, currently this is also important to be noted that Sahar’s recent medical reports completely point out towards the fact that she has a mental illness condition from past few years where the report further also explained in detail all things related to her ‘history of visits to the psychiatric hospitals’.
Also, earlier, once Sahar had even asked the Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie to campaign for her wherein she had specifically said, “The Islamic Republic has a history of tormenting women. We need to be united against this gender apartheid”.
For those who are unaware and don’t know, Angelina is a UNHCR goodwill ambassador. Also, earlier, Sahar had denied of getting plastic surgeries done to look like Angelina Jolie. Sahar had told that she had just painted her entire face in a very funny way. In a 2017 interview of Sahar almost 3 years back with an international Russian website named Sputnik, when she was asked about same, she had told, “Every time I publish a photo, I paint my face in an increasingly funny way. It is a way of expressing yourself, a kind of art. My fans know that this is not my real face”.
