The MPTF, supervising location manager Sue Quinn (known for her work on the ‘Fantastic Beasts,’ ‘Harry Potter,’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchises), and location manager Bill Bowling (‘Jupiter Ascending,’ ‘Cloud Atlas’) received special awards.

Part 1 of Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning, which was filmed in Norway, the UK, and Italy, was recognized for its exceptional locations in a modern feature film. Meanwhile, Oppenheimer, which was filmed extensively in New Mexico, continued its Oscars success by earning recognition for its exceptional locations in a historical feature film.

Utah, New York, and Namibia were the filming locations for Fallout, which earned the outstanding locations award for a period TV series. Filmed in Alberta, Canada. Fargo, season five received the outstanding locations award for a contemporary TV series. The Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) received the LMGI Humanitarian Award, acknowledging its dedication to being a pioneer in offering health and social support to those in the entertainment industry for a century.

Location coordinator Sue Quinn, known for her work on the Fantastic Beasts, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Caribbean series, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Over three decades, Quinn played a crucial role in blending actual places with the enchanting realm in nearly 40 movies.

Bill Bowling, the location manager from Jupiter Ascending and Cloud Atlas, received the Trailblazer Award, honoring his fifty-year journey in the production sector.

Rachael Harris, known for her roles in “Suits,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” and “The Hangover,” took the stage at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills to present the awards. These accolades honor films, television shows, and advertisements where the innovative selection of filming spots not only establish the mood but also deepen the characters and improve the storyline.
