Miley Cyrus after calling it quits on her relationship with now ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, quickly moved on with Kaitlynn Carter. They were also seen vacationing in Italy and were even flaunting their PDA as soon as Miley announced her split. They were often even spotted holding hands during their lunch and dinner dates.
And though the two got relatively close, they broke up in about a months time. And Kaitlynn is finally opening up about her relationship with Miley. She in an article for the Elle magazine wrote about her sexuality and about her relationship. Her essay read, “This past July, I went on vacation with a female friend; the next thing I knew, I was in love with her. It wasn’t quite that simple, of course. But it also wasn’t very complicated, either.”
And though she didn’t name Miley in the essay, it is surely about her. She further went on to say, “Until that trip, it had never crossed my mind that I was even capable of loving a woman the way I loved her. But after reflecting on my romantic history, I realized that I’ve never really had a ‘type’. Although the relationship with my friend was often referenced in the media as merely a ‘summer fling’ or a ‘same-sex affair,’ it was so much more than that. This was a profound journey of self-discovery. For the first time, I listened to myself, forgot about the ‘norm’, and lived.”
Kaitlynn also further revealed how they were friends before their relationship turned into a romantic one. She stated that she didn’t have to think or overanalyze as it just happened and she felt it was right. On further reflecting over her three-year friendship she realised how she was always drawn to her in a way she wasn’t with other friends. But it was that trip which made her see Miley in a romantic way.
