TV star Shubhangi Atre has been winning hearts of fans and ruling on audiences from past so many years in tinsel town. Currently she is also being loved as Angoori Bhabhi in ace producer Sanjay and Binaiferr Kohli’s hit sit-com serial Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai that airs on And TV (2015 – present). With the hit show touching the mark of 14 years on television, it also makes this a double whammy as Shubhangi’s acting journey in tinsel town also completes 14 years now and remembering the experience, Shubhangi especially thanked the noted TV, film and OTT czarina Ekta Kapoor for this opportunity and break that she got.
In her recent interview with a leading digital entertainment portal, recalling about same, Shubhangi said, “Acting was my childhood dream. And I feel Ekta Mam helped me to live the dream. I shall always be thankful to her. Even today many people recognize me as Kasturi. The show helped me to learn and experience shooting. It helped me realise I can act”.
Shubhangi romanced ace and dapper TV star Karan Patel in the serial and recalling her fond memories, she shared, “Everyone was like a family. We collected many memories from the show. Now when I’m quarantined and at home, I enjoyed watching the episodes. They still are iconic and evergreen for me”.
Shubhangi who recently tested COVID 19 positive is under self isolation and on recovery mode wherein explaining about it, she says, “I miss my energy level. The virus has made me weak. I’m still recovering”.
Shubhangi has been essaying the character of Angoori Bhabhi after controversial exit of Shilpa Shinde. Post becoming well known and also a household name after portrayal of Angoori Bhabhi, due to huge fallout with producers Shilpa quit the serial abruptly. Since then on, Shubhangi has been successfully played role of Angoori Bhabhi and has become an integral part of the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai family.
