Popular television actor Karan Mehra who played the role of Naitik in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been accused to beating his wife. The 38-year-old actor was arrested from his residence in Mumbai last night after his wife Nisha Rawal alleged that he beat her up after a fight.
DCP Harish Goswami addressed the media and told that Nikita had come to the police station to file a complaint against her husband Karan Mehra. The Goregaon Police has filed a case against him under Indian Penal Code sections 336, 332, 504 and 506. He said that they are doing background checks of both the parties as of now.
Karan is currently out on bail.
Karan and Nisha started their careers as models and became successful TV actors. They dated for about six years before their marriage.
