Actor and comedian Tirthanand Rao attempted suicide during a LIVE session on social media. Tirthanand Rao previously worked with Kapil Sharma in Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe. During the FB live session, he stated the reason that bothered him and then drank poison. He revealed that he was in a live-in relationship with a woman who then blackmailed him and also extorted money from him.
He said in the video, “I am in debt of Rs 3-4 lakh because of this woman. I have known her since October last year. She had filed a police complaint against me in Bhayander and I didn’t even know for what reason. Then she would also call me and say that she wanted to meet.”
While narrating this, he took out a bottle of insect repellent, poured it into a glass and drank it. His friends who were watching the LIVE session immediately rushed to his house where he was found unconscious. They called the police and took Rao to the hospital.
This isn’t the first time that Tirthanand Rao has attempted suicide. In Dec 2021, he went LIVE on Facebook and also called his assistant that he was taking this drastic step. At that time, he revealed that he had poor financial condition and spent his days surviving without food.
