Did You Know? Kapil Sharma’s Fee For TKSS Was Higher Than SRK’s Fee For Pathaan!

Kapil Sharma reunites with his team for a new comedy special, which will stream on Netflix, marking a significant shift from his previous platforms. From Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors to The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony Liv, and now onto The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, Kapil continues to evolve. Notably, his earnings from his latest show as a comedian are remarkable too.

However, as per many reports, it is now revealed that Kapil Sharma was paid more than any other TV or Bollywood celeb for each episode in his show, The Kapil Sharma Show. Reportedly, when Kapil’s show moved to Sony TV, he received an impressive payment of 35 lakh per episode, accumulating a total of 45.50 crore for 130 episodes in the first season.

Following the immense success of the show, Kapil increased his fee by nearly 42% for season 3, charging 50 lakh per episode. According to a report by Indian Express, the comedian earned an astonishing 5 crore per month, surpassing the earnings of many Bollywood stars. For season 3 of the comedy show, he received a hefty paycheck of 26 crore for 5 episodes.

Kapil Sharma’s pay increased significantly in the later seasons of The Kapil Sharma Show. He reportedly earned 60 lakh per episode for season four and 80 lakh per episode for season five. In total, he likely earned around 48 crore for the fourth season and approximately 68 crore for the final season.

Between 2016 and 2023, Kapil Sharma’s earnings totaled 231 crore, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s fee for Pathaan by nearly 15.62%. SRK earned 200 crore for the film, making him the highest-paid Bollywood actor. However, Kapil Sharma’s income from his show during the same period exceeded SRK’s fee for one movie.
