Bigg Boss 16: FWICE Says Sajid Khan Has Right To Survive & Earn His Living

Amidst ongoing criticism and backlash over getting Sajid Khan into Salman Khan’s hosted show Bigg Boss 16. FWICE known as the Federation of Western India Cine Employees has now issued a note of support to the minister of information and broadcasting, Anurag Thakur stating that Sajid should be allowed to earn his living as he has already served his punishment after a ban was put on him.

FWICE Comes Out In Support Of Sajid Khan

FWICE forwarded their letter after the chief of the Delhi Commission of Women, Swati Maliwal sent a letter to Anurag Thakur stating that Sajid Khan should be ousted from the reality show Bigg Boss 16, she also mentioned some allegations of sexual misconduct against the filmmaker in her letter.

Reacting to the same, FWICE sent a letter to Anurag Thakur demanding that the filmmaker should be allowed to earn his living, as he already got his one-year ban as a punishment. The letter read, “After carefully going through the entire proceedings of the POSH committee of IFTDA and considering the opinions of the legal team FWICE, the FWICE also endorsed the action against Director Sajid Khan and seconded the decision of IFTDA of BAN on Shri Sajid Khan for one year.”

It continued, “Shri Sajid Khan had cooperated with the IFTDA and FWICE and obeyed the decision of the POSH Committee. FWICE was satisfied with his behavior during the period of his Ban and after completion of the one year of this punishment the BAN on Shri Sajid Khan was lifted by the FWICE on 14.03 2019 Shri Sajid Khan has now entered into the BIGG BOSS to earn his living.”

Criticism Against Sajid Khan’s Entry In Bigg Boss 16

Ever since Sajid Khan entered the Bigg Boss 16 house, many celebrities from the industry have shared their discontentment on the matter, including Sona Mohapatra, Devoleena Bhattacherjee, Mandanna Karimi, and many more. For the unversed, Sajid Khan was earlier accused by many women for sexual misconduct, the news came to rise during the #MeToo movement, soon after which Sajid was served with a ban of 1 year by FWICE.
