Despite the star-studded cast, the film received disappointing reviews from both critics and audiences. Consequently, it had an extremely poor opening at the box office.

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, LSD 2 earned around Rs 15 lakh on its first day. The film experienced a total occupancy of 5.48 percent on Friday. In Mumbai, out of 211 shows, there was a 7 percent occupancy, while in Delhi and NCR, the occupancy stood at 4.25 percent across 243 shows.

The film faced tough competition with the Vidya Balan starrer romantic-comedy, “Do Aur Do Pyaar” and previously released films like “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” and “Maidaan”. However, the comedy crime drama, LSD2 can witness growth at the box office during the upcoming weekend (Saturday-Sunday).
