Actor Arvind Trivedi Who Played ‘Raavan’ Passes Away

Actor Arvind Trivedi, who is known for playing Raavan in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan passed away on Tuesday night.

Veteran actor Arvind Trivedi, who played the role of Raavan in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayan’ has passed away. He suffered a heart attack on Tuesday night. He was 82-years-old and was suffering from age-related illnesses.

Arvind Trivedi’s nephew Kaushaubh Trivedi confirmed the news as he told a leading news agency, “Arvind uncle was not keeping well and his health further deteriorated in the last couple of years. He passed away on Tuesday night around 9.30 pm after suffering a heart attack. He was 82 years old. He went peacefully at his home in Kandivali (Mumbai), surrounded by his family.”

He was cremated at Dahanukar Wadi cremation ground in Kandivali area, early on Wednesday morning.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief over the veteran actor’s demise. He wrote, “We have lost Shri Arvind Trivedi, who was not only an exceptional actor but also was passionate about public service. For generations of Indians, he will be remembered for his work in the Ramayan TV serial. Condolences to the families and admirers of both actors. Om Shanti.”

PM Modi also mentioned the death of TMKOC actor Ghanshyam Nayak who died of throat cancer at the age of 77.
