Kohrra, a crime drama series follows the murder investigation of an NRI who visited Punjab to get married. His murder before the wedding gets media attention and brings a lot of suspects under the scanner. Kohrra features Barun Sobti and Suvinder Vicky as cops handling the case while dealing with their own family issues. Will There Be Kohrra Season 2?
Kohrra was released on Netflix on July 15, 2023, and has become an instant hit. It has six episodes, each comprising of 45-50 min runtime. It’s not even a week and fans are already waiting for its second season. However, neither the makers of the show nor Netflix has hinted about the sequel yet. Kohrra ended on a satisfactory note as the cops successfully solve the murder case and the characters get closure. Even the personal lives of cops see progress by the last episode. So, there might not be a sequel. However, when a show is well-received by the audience, the makers and the streaming service sometimes plan a sequel to encash the popularity. Since this series is a police procedural, Kohrra season 2 could bring a new case. Suvinder Vicky and Barun Sobti would return to the roles of Balbir and Garundi. Balbir’s daughter would be starting a new life with Karan and we’ll see who gets the custody of her son. As Garundi starts a newly married life, it would be interesting to see how his jealous brother and sister-in-law act and react!
Well, we can only hope for Netflix to make an announcement soon, and if it happens, we can expect Kohrra season 2 to stream on Netflix in 2025.
