Siddharth Anand’s much-awaited and highly-anticipated Bollywood action-thriller film, Fighter was finally released in theatres on 25th January 2024. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles, the film has opened up to positive reviews and reactions from moviegoers. Unfortunately, the film received an underwhelming response at the box office. As per the latest reports, the digital rights of the film have been sold to streaming giant, Netflix.
Fighter OTT Platform
Netflix has reportedly acquired the digital rights of the film for a substantial sum, estimated to be around Rs 150 crore. While the OTT release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, it’s expected that the movie will make its digital premiere soon.
Meanwhile, talking about the OTT release date of the film is yet to be announced. The 8-week theatre window is the standard theatrical-to-digital window that typically spans around 8 weeks. This means the film will most probably be released on the OTT platform by March end or by April.
Fighter Box Office Collection Worldwide
Meanwhile, the film failed to cross box-office expectations. Made on a budget of 250 crores, Fighter has managed to cross the 200cr mark domestically and the 300cr mark globally. According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the film has grossed Rs 323 crore worldwide.
