The incident took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and was captured on camera, showcasing the fan throwing an electronic cigarette (vape) towards the stage, perhaps as an invitation to share a smoke with the artist.
The venue, in response to the incident, posted the video on TikTok with a caption reminding fans that bringing vapes inside the Barclays Center is not allowed. The video quickly spread and was later shared on the venue’s Instagram account as well.
Addressing the situation during the concert, Drake called out the fan responsible for throwing the vape. He asked the crowd, “Did you throw a vape over here? Who threw this? Who threw the vape?” Clearly unamused, he made it clear that he had no intention of participating in such behavior, stating, “There’s no way you’re taking life seriously if you think I’m going to pick this vape up and vape with you at the f***ing Barclays Center.”
In an amusing twist, Drake kicked the vaping device around on the stage. Eventually, he picked it up for a closer look and announced that it was lemon-mint flavored. Despite the unexpected distraction, the rapper managed to handle the situation with a touch of humor and a firm message to the disobedient fan.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the only incident during Drake’s “It’s All a Blur” tour. In an earlier concert in Chicago, a fan threw a mobile phone at him, adding to the challenges the artist has faced during his performances.
