Ardent fans of singer-songwriter Selena Gomez are happy to see their favourite partner with La’Mariette on a brand-new swim collection, which launched on July 3. Selena played muse to the brand’s Aura print new swimwear line who inspired by the singer and her colourful personality included six different swim styles: two tops, two bottoms, a one-piece, and a sarong — all in bright purples, reds, and greens to their collections.
“The Aura print is inspired by Selena, her aura shines through in everything she does and we want everyone else to feel that sort of transformative feeling of being their most authentic self,” stated La’Mariette co-founder Morgan Brutocao in a press release. He further added, “Selena’s confidence is unmatched and being able to design a print with her which embodies that is so rewarding.”
The line is confident of their products and feels that they have an edge over their competition as they have a variety of styles and coverage options. The swimwear line had made sure that every customer that comes to them finds something that she would like to own. The line has tried to be innovative and along with their strappy bikini tops, their special sarongs can be styled in various ways, including as a hair accessory!
“It was really fun for us to play around with creating swimsuits because Theresa, Morgan, and I love being outside so much,” Selena said in a press release, referring to La’Mariette’s founders, Theresa Mingus and Morgan Brutocao. “After going through swatches, my favourite colour was purple, I wanted to stay away from colours I’m used to liking red and white. Purple felt different for me and we added pops of colour like green and neons here and there, it becomes your suit however you wear it.”
Selena seems to be concentrating on her career and thinking less of her former beau, Justin Beiber. The couple had dated on and off for several years leaving Selena often teary. No matter what Beiber says, fans of both feel for Gomez and feel she has been wronged. Selena on her part was heartbroken and laid her feelings bare with her albums such as ‘Rare’. She revealed she went through a lot of emotional abuse when she was in a relationship with Beiber, ‘ It’s dangerous to stay in a victim mentality. And I’m not being disrespectful, I do feel I was a victim to certain abuse,” she said in an interview.
When asked to elaborate on emotional abuse,’ Gomez replied, ‘Yes, and I think that it’s something that—I had to find a way to understand it as an adult. And I had to understand the choices I was making. As much as I don’t want to spend the rest of my life talking about this, I am proud that I can say I feel the strongest I’ve ever felt and I’ve found a way to just walk through it with as much grace as possible.’
Bieber on the other hand admits that he was way off the track during his relationship with Gomez, “In my previous relationship, I went off and just went crazy and went wild, just was being reckless,” he said in an interview. Regarding his marriage to Hailey, he revealed “This time, I took the time to build myself and focus on me, and try to make the right decisions and all that sort of stuff. And yeah, I got better.”
Well, though fans are unhappy that the love story of Selena and Justin didn’t make it to the alter, they are happy that the two are finally burying the past to concentrate on the future.
