Selena Gomez inspires The Weeknd’s latest music?

Though The Weeknd hasn't confirmed anything as of yet about his latest upcoming music, reports suggest that he drew inspiration for one of his tracks from his ex-Selena Gomez.

The Weeknd who was on a hiatus from social media is back with a bang as he took to his social media to announce something exciting is coming up, a possible music release maybe. He shared a blurry black-and-white image and captioned the post as, “the fall starts tomorrow night.” Soon after he shared a post, she shared the same to his Instagram stories and wrote, “tomorrow night we start again.”

And though The Weeknd is staying mum about his latest release, it is confirmed that one of the tracks in his upcoming album is inspired by his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. As an entertainment portal revealed that The Weeknd registered a song titled, “Like Selena.”

Fans know that Selena and The Weeknd began dating in  January 2017 but after 10 months called it quits on their relationship. A source at that time revealed that the two split because their busy schedules made things hard on their relationship. The source said, “Selena and Abel both agreed that this relationship wasn’t going to work due to his busy schedule, but Selena was the one who wanted to end it. She didn’t feel secure while he was away, and the schedule conflicts got very exhausting for her.”

But The Weeknd’s possible song about Gomez comes is quite surprising as the two broke up for quite some time. But not like it’s the first time The Weeknd will be referring to Selena in his songs, though his prior songs were just references, this will be the first time he named a song after his ex. His previous album, My Dear Melancholy, was full of SelGo Easter eggs which included songs like, Call Out My Name, Privilege, Hurt You, Wasted Times and more all had the brunette beauty’s references.

The timing is also pretty interesting as The Weeknd recently reunited with his ex-girlfriend, Bella Hadid. The two were spotted hanging out together at the supermodel’s birthday party in October, two months after they officially called it quits again.
