Jessica Simpson’s daughter once had a very cool babysitter of all time. In a recent interview, Simpson revealed that her 10-year-old daughter Maxwell Drew’s first concert was not with her singer mom. The singer shared, “I was sad when Maxwell got to go to her first concert, which is by Olivia Rodrigo.” The singer added, “Selena Gomez was her babysitter.”
Jessica further shared, “So she went with Selena. She met a really good friend of Selena’s little sister, so Max got to go to her first concert.” The actress said that Maxwell has seen her mom perform with Willie Nelson before, but never a complete concert experience. “I always thought it was going to be me at her first concert,” she admitted. “But she’s 10 years old, she’s got to see a live show. So thank you Olivia Rodrigo for that show.”
The singer then added, “And thank you Selena for being a great babysitter,” she added. Elsewhere in the conversation, Simpson talked about balancing her life as a mom of three. In addition to Maxwell, she and her husband Eric Johnson share daughter Birdie Mae and son Ace Knute. Simpson said, “You know, I really involve them. Maxwell loves animals, and I’m like let’s do like a pet line. She’s great at drawing, and she picks colour pallets, she draws.”
The singer further shared that her daughter is unreal on TikTok adding, “like that girl can edit better than most, it’s shocking. So I always go to Maxwell for advice and I feel like she’s way more on-trend than I am.” Previously, the singer shared a glimpse of Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West’s birthday camping trip. Simpson shared a series of photos from the weekend. The first shows North and Maxwell sweetly posing together with a paddleboard paddle. Other photos show the girls doing archery, ziplining and riding on an inflatable being towed by a boat. “Thank you @kimkardashian for giving Maxwell the time of her life and takin’ care of my little lady on her first ‘camp sleep away’ trip! I’m comin’ next time!” wrote the Dukes of Hazzard star.
